Barcelona Urban Sketchers 2013: Part 1

One of the most anticipated events of this year – Urban Sketchers Symposium in Barcelona. I traveled to what used to be my home – the noisy, artistic, humid, smelly, touristy, but endlessly enchanting–Barcelona. I got to hang out with the most amazing artists from all over the world, speak four languages in a course of one evening, translate the workshops of great Norberto Dorantes, party with the Andalusians till 2 am, sketch, sketch, and sketch. So much anticipation and so short of a time to actually be there. No regrets. It was amazing!

Here what I saw.

Sketching Palau de la Múcica Catalana was a bit too overwhelming for me, so I settled for a quick sketch of the buildings across the street.
Little square off of Via Laietana
First dinner at Elisabets

One of the brilliant artists and a presenter at the Symposium, Sagar Fornies

Via Laeitana

Still my favorite spot to get a tapa in Barcelona–Xampanyet

Antonio Pina from Portugal.
Norberto Dorantes from Buenos Aires and Manuel from Sevilla

El Ingenio, a store selling circus supplies in the Gothic Quarter.

  1. Me gustan mucho tus dibujos, transmiten la misma dulzura, amabilidad que transmite tu compañía. Me encantó volver a verte y espero repetir pronto. Un beso grande.

  2. You are so amazing! I love it!
